With winter right around the corner, it’s when many of us reach for our warmer jackets for the first time since spring. “It is extremely rare that major prizes like this go unclaimed but there is still plenty of time left for the winner to come forward and we are very hopeful that will happen,” said Molly Cormier, Atlantic Lottery Corporation (ALC) director of brand and communications in a media release. It used to be tied for a national record until in September 2023 a ticket for a guaranteed $68 million jackpot was sold in Ontario. This is the largest lottery prize ever recorded in Atlantic Canada. It’s been six months since somebody purchased a winning Lotto 6/49 ticket for the Apdraw, yet the guaranteed $64 million prize still remains unclaimed. The deadline is fast approaching for one lucky player to claim their winning Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball jackpot, sold in Gloucester County, N.B.
